Fight Every Crisis - digital lecture series by the Cusanus Hochschule

The Cusanus Hochschule für Gesellschaftgestaltung organises a digital lecture series to explore the subject of "Global Perspectives of a Post-Corona Economy" between October 15 and February 11.

As reported in June, the OIKOPOLIS Group is a cooperation partner of the Cusanus Hochschule in Bernkastel-Kues. The beginning of the winter semester is just around the corner and the new master’s degree "Ökonomie - Verantwortung - Institutionsgestaltung" will welcome its first students.

Meanwhile, the corona crisis continues to confront societies around the globe with a variety of challenges, since it has aggravated existing social inequalities. They are all linked by a fundamental crisis of the globalized economic system.

The Cusanus Hochschule für Gesellschaftsgestaltung will therefore hold a digital lecture series entitled "Fight Every Crisis" to explore "Global Perspectives of a Post-Corona Economy" in the coming winter semester between the 15th of October 2020 and the 11th of February 2021 each Thursday between 2 and 4 o'clock (pm) and draw lessons for shaping a life-sustaining economy within social and natural boundaries after the pandemic.

The lecturers are experts in the domains of academia, politics and civil society– for example, the winner of the "Alternative Nobel Prize" Raúl Montenegro, MEP Sven Giegold, climate activists Natasha Mwansa and Luisa Neubauer and many more.

The discussions will address questions such as “How do the corona, poverty, and climate crises influence each other? What kind of solidarity practices have emerged during the crisis? Which economic policy narratives can promote a socio-ecological transformation?”

An overview of the program, all further information and the registration can be found here. Some lectures will be given in English, some in German.

You are cordially invited to participate in the event!
